President's Corner, Why Publish ACSG Airtime? After almost 18 years of providing professional services to airport clients, the question most often asked of our Associates at industry meetings is “what does your firm do?” Whether the challenge is assisting a non-hub airport with raising $100M to proceed with its CIP, implementing a complete FAR Part 150 program, obtaining required environmental approvals for a project to proceed on schedule, analyzing concessions to significantly increase revenues, or preparing a master plan that provides the business strategies to effectively develop the airport and exploit its potential, ACSG Associates have done it. Last year our Associates were program managers for design and construction of a new general aviation terminal and an expansion of a commercial terminal. ACSG Associates have personally met with the TSA in Washington and completed assignments for airports related directly to the provisions of Section 44903, Title 49, USC, the “Aviation and Transportation Security Act,” as amended. Our Associates have worked in and managed land acquisition programs acquiring approximately $100M in properties for airports throughout the United States. The firm has and is accomplishing significant tasks for our airport clients using creative and effective methodologies. The purpose for publishing ACSG AirTime is to provide airport management teams with information, examples of techniques we have used to successfully accomplish these assignments, and summaries of techniques, which might help them in achieving their goals. In almost all articles contained in this, the first edition of ACSG AirTime, you will find case studies, or, in some articles, a complete summary dedicated to one project. If you have any questions concerning the project approach or any other subject, do not hesitate to contact any of our offices or our Headquarters in the Chicago area at (630) 983-7207 or email at pbridger@ACSGinc.com 12-02 Naperville, IL |
